What Your Teachers Will Develop
Teachers who join any of the Voiceology training experiences will learn to understand the purpose behind the methodology, observe the singer in front of them and make appropriate teaching decisions while remaining grounded in best-practice principles. We have six capability blocks which guide our accreditation and teacher training opportunities.
UNDERSTAND & EMBODY
We help our teachers develop accurate technical knowledge and personally demonstrate the principles being taught.
EXPLAIN & DEMONSTRATE
We teach how to communicate vocal concepts clearly and demonstrate exercises effectively.

We help build the skills needed to listen, watch and use learner feedback to identify what may be limiting vocal development.
SELECT & TROUBLESHOOT
We upskill teachers to be discerning, to choose an appropriate Voiceology strategy, monitor the singer's response and know what to try when an approach is not yet working.

We teach and encourage the use of different explanations, demonstrations and sensory approaches to help concepts land with different learners while retaining the integrity of the methodology.
ASSESS & PLAN FOR PROGRESS
We develop teacher ability to recognise evidence of improvement, provide meaningful feedback and determine appropriate next steps for the singer.

Meet Voiceology Founder and Director, Marion Rouvas
Marion Rouvas has spent decades working as a professional singer, vocal coach and teacher, developing an approach centred on effective voice production, practical teaching and long-term vocal health.
Her work has included teaching at the Australian Institute of Music, mentoring developing performers through the Talent Development Project, overseeing teacher training at NSW’s most successful performing arts schools as well as the ongoing mentoring of Voiceology accredited teachers.
