Meera Belle
Meera began singing from the age of two years old but her formal training started much later – after a career in pub rock, pop and soul bands, in fact! She was accepted for study into the Australian Institute of Music for Opera Voice and went on to a Post Graduate Diploma in Voice at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music (UK) where she discovered and love of teaching and vocal pedagogy. Training with some of the best classical voice teachers in Europe, she never lost her interest in contemporary styles and found herself often working in cross-over styles.
She made her debut at the world famous Royal Albert Hall and St Georges (Cardiff) as well as performing and traveling the world on the Queen Elizabeth ocean liner but settled back in Sydney in 2006 to begin a career in cabaret and open her own vocal studio. After six years of teaching in Sydney, she opened Bella Musica Entertainment and now is the Director of Pitch Perfect Vocal Studio where she is a sought-after vocal teacher. Meera performs in several of her own shows (‘Blossoming’ and ‘Close To You: A Salute To Karen Carpenter’) and runs the vintage vocal trio The Starr Sisters (‘Swing, Sister: Remembering The Andrews Sisters’). She performed regularly with quirky jazz outfit The John Hardaker Direction, BossaBaby, her own Belle Jazz Trio.
Meera is currently the MD/Director and producer of The Kit Kat Club Cabaret Series.
Location: Pitch Perfect Vocals, Hawkesbury/ Nepean
